The TomTom Spark Cardio + Music a fitness tracker and a music player, but that does not make it just your run-of-the-mill wearable device that can let you track physical activities while listening to your favorite tunes. The TomTom Spark Cardio + Music is a Solid Choice to Listen to Your Favorite Tracks While You Workout

The TomTom Spark Cardio + Music is part of a series of fitness trackers whereas the other two available options in the market are the base model (which includes fitness tracking and GPS, but does not have the heart-rate monitor or the music storage) and the Spark Music (which has 3GB of music storage to connect to Bluetooth headphones, but still no heart rate monitor).

For the Spark Cardio + Music, it has the fitness tracking, the GPS, 3GB of music storage, AND the heart-rate monitor. As with other trackers in this series, it is also waterproof and can be submerged up to 130 feet of water. There are also color options available for this device to fit your style, and these are pink, white, blue, black, and purple.

For its design, the Cardio + Music is similar to that of the Pebble Steel smartwatch, but not as attractive looking. Thelarge 2-inch monochrome LCD provides plenty of room for showing data and users will find no trouble viewing the display under direct sunlight. Furthermore, you do not have to keep your eyes peeled onto the wearable tech all the time as there are small audio and vibration cues that will let you know when you’ve hit your workout goals.

Speaking of the display, it is not a touchscreen one. However, TomTom ditches the touchscreen technology with one large button below the bezel. This button is so big that it is hard to miss and makes it fairly easy to activate even when you are already really sweaty or when you’re wearing gloves. One press is usually all it takes to cycle and confirm its various options.

The TomTom Spark Cardio + Music is a great piece of wearable technology for cyclists, swimmers, or even avid members of the local gym to not miss out on their favorite tunes while they’re hitting their fitness goals. However, with all these neat features come at a price that won’t be as satisfying. There are even less costly alternatives in the market that can offer a similar set of features, such as the Fitbit Surge.
