The Chevy Volt has just been released about 5 years ago, now it takes on a new form with the 2016 Chevrolet Volt. Upon first glance of the design of the car, many would say that it is a mix between an automotive Tupperware container and the automobile technology found in Tron. Even though many had mixed feelings about its look, the car worked in a lot of ways other than just a smooth driving experience. Chevrolet made the car with electric-vehicle stealth coupled with internal-combustion freedom. It is a glorious mix of the two components that works hand-in-hand so well.
The New 2016 Chevrolet Volt Combines Electricity and Internal-Combustion Packaged Into One Car
The new 2016 Chevrolet Volt proves that General Motors has cleared what was thought to be an endless conquest of testing to combine both electricity and internal-combustion. With their newest creation, they have made a product line that will secure their sustaining business case for a very long time. The company has made the design of the Volt II as to what they have envisioned the future of automation to be. Its leap to sleek and contemporary style creates a windswept contemporary design, and the interiors are nothing to be laughed at as well. While the car firm thought of the future for their new automotive piece, they did away with the touch screen controls inside the machine. Instead, they placed a mosaic of casual push buttons that are all complemented by an integrative, while also very informative screen.
Even though the car did go a step back with its push buttons as it does seem a bit… normal, the automobile looks and functions really well. General Motors is known to make a terrific consideration and effort towards their car’s control system. Volt lovers can also rejoice that there is one feature that remains unchanged which is the basic 4-door hatchback envelope. If there are changes, it would be that there is about a half-an-inch inserted in the wheelbase. There is also about 3.3 inches added overall but this is done mainly for styling purposes. This also gives passengers located in the rear seat to have a little more leg room. There is still a T-shaped battery pack that can be found within the internal mechanism of the 2016 Chevrolet Volt. However, the capacity of this new battery is increased from 17.1 kWh to 18.4. It also now contains fewer but larger liquid-cooled prismatic lithium-ion cells. These are made to generate more power while carrying a lighter package.
