Yes, you read it right Microsoft Windows 10 Operating System will be the last OS Microsoft will release. After that consumers will only receive major patch, updates and tweaks?
This news had been confirmed by Jerry Nixon, Microsoft employee and a developer during the company’s Ignite conference he said in a statement that, “Right now we’re releasing Windows 10, and because Windows 10 is the last version of Windows, we’re all still working on Windows 10.″
Based on that statement we can presume that there will be no other operating system like Windows 10.1 or even Windows 11. Windows Operating System will end with Windows 10, it’s just with the name though, with regards to improvements, changes, and other areas of development as there will always be room for such it will be launch through Windows Updates.
Jerry Nixon also reported that Windows 10 is under works even if the company had launched Windows 8.1 which means that Microsoft has been developing this last operating system beneath company’s frontal launching of new products. Time changes we know that for sure, but if Microsoft is set to stop releasing complete version of an operating system surely, Windows 10 will be the most well-known operating system of all time as new generation will only come to know Windows 10.
Microsoft to launch Windows as a service
Although Microsoft didn’t divulge details of why they come up with this decision, but reports has it that the main reason of why should Windows 10 will be the last operating system the company will launch in a complete version is that Microsoft plans to toss Windows as a service.
A Microsoft spokesperson also added that, “Recent comments at Ignite about Windows 10 are reflective of the way Windows will be delivered as a service bringing new innovations and updates in an ongoing manner, with continuous value for our consumer and business customers.”
