Lego Marvel’s Avengers – Assemble!

Published: 10 December 2015Updated: 12 December 2015

Lego Marvel’s Avengers is the follow-up to the 2013 release, Lego Marvel Super Heroes. But it doesn’t mean that developer TT Games did not give gamers anything else. Throughout these past couple of years, we’ve had our fill of Lego: The Hobbit, Lego Jurassic World, Lego Movie: The Videogame, and Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham. Also, let’s not forget the sandbox game that wants to be Minecraft, Lego Worlds, and the highly addictive Lego Dimensions. For this 2016 release, it offers new features, a huge roster of comic book superheroes (in Lego form, of course), and other familiar blocky worlds to explore.

Lego Marvel’s Avengers Can be Played on Multiple Gaming Platforms

If you’ve played Lego Marvel Super Heroes, and liked its Manhattan Setting, then you will find Lego Marvel’s Avengers to be very familiar. However, this time around, the game’s story follows that of the storyline found in the Marvel movies The Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron. As a bonus, players will get to explore all the areas and locations found in these movies, all in Lego block goodness.

But this is not all as the guys from TT games even expanded that realm to include some of the best scenes found in other Marvel movies, which include Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Captain America: The First Avenger, and Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

If you think that you won’t expect much because it doesn’t have those lush 3D texturing that you can find in other graphic intensive games such as Crysis and Witcher 3, then you’re wrong. In this Lego masterpiece of Marvel’s Avengers, Manhattan looks better than ever, even in such a blocky state. There’s an improved dynamic lighting which can be found throughout the game. Also, there’s even more to do than in previous titles.

The game has a sheer number of missions to do which is only matched by the number of unlockable characters it has on offer. TT games even states that there are over 100 new characters on board, and the developers stated that they haven’t even settled on that final number yet. Hence, expect that number to grow even further.

In Lego Marvel’s Avengers, you will expect new heroes to join in your adventures such as Quicksilver, Daredevil, and even Fin Fang Foom. Each hero has their own unique playstyle and powers which will give you much to enjoy about. The game will be available in multiple platforms by January 2016.
