The My Cloud OS 3 operating system software development kit (SDK) has been released and redesigned by WD. The new design makes for better appl integration. The company also launched a new My Cloud Mirror Gen 2 person cloud storage device that enables quicker processing speeds. The new OS 3 SDK will be released by the end of this month. The OS 3 has been seen to have an intuitive user-interface. It delivers a rich content-sharing experience. Back-up and sync functionalities are easy to work with while still being able to retain the control and privacy of the cloud devices physically located within a nearby home or office network. The features also come with MyCloud.com, which provides users a web browser-based user interface for viewing photos and videos (in gallery mode), file collaboration, and also for access management.
The My Cloud OS 3 Creates Easier File Allocations Within a Home or Office Network
One of the new features found within the My Cloud OS 3 is its new Sync feature. The feature syncs data across multiple devices within the network, which includes desktop PCs and laptops. The new operating system also allows users to set up an automatic camera-roll backup for the photos found within their mobile smartphones and tablets. Furthermore, the operating system has Chromecast device support, as well as Chromebook.
Also with the launch of the My Cloud Operating System 3, WD also released the My Cloud Device SDK and the My Cloud API. This enables developers to create new extensions, features, and other capabilities within the user interface and for the entire ecosystem of the My Cloud OS. This purpose is for easier use for personal cloud storage devices.
These are not all the things that WD recently launched as there is also the 2nd generation My Cloud Mirror personal cloud storage device. It comes with 2 HDDs. These are set up in the RAID 1 mode which makes for an easier experience for backing up various content.
