Report: Apple Devices Crash When Trying to Update to the New iOS 9

There are reports wherein a significant number of iOS 8 users who have testified about their Apple devices to crash when they attempt to update to the newer iOS 9. This is the latest in a line of glitches since its launch from the tech giant. Social media portals, including Twitter and Facebook, were flooded with complaints and shout-outs about their unhappy approach to upgrading to Apple’s new operating system. There are two distinct faults found when doing the attempt. One of the errors found was directly linked specifically to older Apple iPhone and iPad models.

Reports Indicated Crashes and Errors When Attempting to Update to iOS 9

Upgrading to a newer operating system, in this case the iOS 9, should be a more pleasant experience as it will improve on a lot of features for iPhones and iPads. However, with the errors and glitches coming out in the attempt to update the operating system, many question their OS’s reliability.

One student by the name of Pip Cordi stated her opinion on the matter as she was in the Apple Store in central Sydney to have her iPhone checked. The student states that it is beyond inconvenient for her not to be able to use her mobile phone for a day as she uses several apps that help her with her schoolwork. Apps like language apps and dictionaries are said to be important for her studies.

Another iPhone user by the name of Zorry Coates had been waiting for 3 hours inside the Apple store for a solution on the glitch when she attempted to update to the new Apple iOS 9. After the long wait, the store had told her to either choose between returning her phone to its original factory settings (thereby losing all non-backed-up data in the process), or she would wait until the technicians from Apple would announce an update on the matter.

There are reports wherein groups of iPhone and iPad users post an error message to their social media accounts which clearly (and obviously) says, “Software Update Failed.” This could be a problem wherein servers are overloaded by the sheer number of people trying to download the update simultaneously.

While Apple states that the iOS 9 is friendly to older devices, there are reports wherein users found their device to hang or freeze up when they are on the “swipe to upgrade” page. Currently, there are still no word as to how the tech giant will be able to address this issue.
