The 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage packs a number of great upgrades from its predecessor as it adds premium features into this “pocket-sized” vehicle. The Mirage line has always been designated as a great value for money. It features one of the highest fuel economies for a gas-powered car WHILE being one of the cheapest on the market.

For its exterior, the 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage has several elements that have been redesigned. The hood, grille, fog lights, rear spoiler, wheels, headlights, and bumpers have all been wonderfully changed. To start, the wheels have taken a more premium look. The chrome touches in the front fascia provide nice touches as well. There are also LED daytime running lights and Projector headlamps that bring the vehicle into the modern age.
The exterior of the new Mitsubishi Mirage is not the only thing about the vehicle that gets an update. The cabin gets a neat set of new features as well. The seat patterns, gauge cluster, the panel around the shifter, and the steering wheel had gotten an upgrade. There is also a new audio equipment built into the 2017 model. This new sound system is the 300-watt Rockford-Fosgate premium audio system. The car’s Smartphone Link Display Audio infotainment system now includes compatibility for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
For its engine, the new Mirage now has a 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine. The new camshaft design bups the power of the vehicle, but only slightly. It now sports 78 horsepower and 74 pound-feet of torque. There are two transmissions available, them being Manual and continuously variable. The latter transmission will have hill-start assist.
There is also an update with the car’s springs and dampers. They are now slightly stiffer to make for better handling. It’s not just the springs and dampers that have been stiffened, but the entire front end. This gives the vehicle better on-road characteristics. The stopping power has been improved due to larger front disc brakes and rear drums. There is also a redesigned brake shoe/pad material.
The 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage is seen to become a great contender in the small-sized vehicle market. Pricing information has not yet been disclosed by the car manufacturer however it is seen to have a competitive pricing structure. It is also expected that the new Mirage will arrive at dealers in spring of 2016. The “pocket-sized” hatchback is also expected wow auto enthusiasts with its redesigned features.
