Yurbuds Inspire Limited Edition Review – Does Very Little to Inspire

The Yurbuds Inspire Limited Edition is a mid-range earphones that are made for the fitness enthusiast. They are built to resist sweat and water, but it is advised to never submerge them. They are made for people who enjoy going to the gym but don’t want to be bothered by anyone while working out, or for people who like to jog around town while listening to their favorite tracks. However, when it comes to audio performance, it sounds like a pair of earbuds that you can get from a dollar store.

Yurbuds Inspire Limited Edition Review - Does Very Little to Inspire

The Yurbuds Inspire Limited Edition is Built to Last, But the Sound Profiles are Another Story

Even Apple’s iPhone earbuds sound better than the Yurbuds Inspire Limited Edition. Runners will indeed appreciate the secure fit of these earphones, but the poor sound quality is enough to make anyone to leave it around the house instead.

But before its sound quality, there’s the design. The Inspire Limited Edition is pretty huge when compared to other earphones. Each “bud” is nearly a full inch long. Yurbuds even claims that the earcups will never fall out, even when doing intense sprints along a track or around town. This is thanks to the way you have to twist and lock the tips into the ear canal. The company even has a term for the procedure, calling it “TwistLock.” With “TwistLock,” it does hold up to its promise as you can run, walk, or perhaps even jump around without the earbuds falling off of your ear.

There is also an accompanying tangle-resistant, Kevlar-wrapped cord which also guarantees what it is advertised to do. However, for a cord, it is unusually heavy while most cords feel like they’re barely there. Along the cord, there are inline controls for the volume, track skip, and for call management.

When it comes to its audio quality, it falls way short out of its price point. The presence of the midrange is over-prominent but veiled. There is little punch to the bass, and a closed-in high-end. For instance, when listening to heavy metal tracks, the music is mostly electric guitars and vocals whereas the drums, bass, and cymbals are completely buried somewhere in the audio.

Even though the Yurbuds Inspire Limited Edition does stay put during heavy exercise routines, there are more effective earphones out there that can also do that AND give a decent, or even a better quality in terms of audio performance.
