The Technology brands holds the top three and dominated up to the top ten spots of the most valuable brands for the year 2015 and the company which holds the top spot is no other than Apple. It was last year that Apple losses its number one spot to Google while this year Apple grab the top place again according to the BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands latest list.
This report was released on Wednesday by WPP an advertising firm and Millward Brown a market researcher according to him that, “With a 67 percent rise in Brand Value to $247 billion, Apple returned to number one in the BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands ranking. Success of the iPhone 6 and the related excitement surrounding the Apple brand drove the increase. Apple also led in the rate of brand value growth over 10 years – 1,446 percent.”
TOP THREE PLACERS
It was consumers demand for big-screened iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus and the launching of Apple smartwatch that triggered analysts to raise their stock price projections for the Apple conglomerate which is precisely one of the many reasons why Apples got the highest spot once again.
The second place holder for the Most Valuable Brand is Google with a brand value of $173 billion, aside from being a search giant company, Google also owns different businesses which includes the Android OS, self-driving cars, its high-speed fiber network and its new Project Fi wireless service and another project still in the works inside its Google X-Lab is the Google Glass and not mention the Android Auto for the new road ahead.
Bagged the third place is Microsoft with a brand value of $115 billion a whooping 28 percent rise is experience by the company. Thanks to the new CEO Satya Nadella who’s effort shows off to establish and refresh the company’s offering to give consumers greater value for their money.
OTHER TECH COMPANIES
The fourth placer with a brand value of $93 billion, is IBM. Other tech companies which scored well in brand value includes AT&T with a brand value of $89 billion,Verizon with $86 billion, Amazon with $62 billion, Vodafone with $38 billion and SAP with $38 billion while Facebook at ranked 12.
According to the report, “Facebook led the Top Risers with a year-on-year brand value increase of 99 percent, based on the brand’s ability to remain relevant through acquisitions and to monetize its audience of over one billion people worldwide.”
There are also numerous Chinese Technology Firms which strengths showed off with the latest report like the Chinese Internal portal Tencent which brand value rose by 43 percent to $76 billion. First timer in the list is the Chinese e-commerce company Alibaba Group with a brand value of $66 billion while the China Mobile a telecom provider brand value increased by 20 percent to $59 billion.
The method used to give actual brand value is based on the million consumers and more than 100,000 different brands in over 50 markets, with brand appeal measured against actual sales performance, according to Brown. The overall brand value of BrandZ’s index saw a 14% year-over-year increase and 126% growth over the past decade.
