The Volvo S60 Inscription will be the first long wheelbase Volvo S60 model to be offered within the United States. It is also the first volume-produced car to be manufactured in China that is offered in the USA. The car is already available in China for quite some time, and it has now made its way into the shores of the United States. The automobile, for all intents and purposes, is the exact same variant as the S60 sedan we’ve all known and loved BUT with a major difference. That difference is that it add 3 additional inches of rear seat legroom.
The Volvo S60 Inscription Makes Its Way to US Markets
The extra 3-inches added to the Volvo S60 Inscription for added legroom may sound insignificant, but it is the difference between a comfortable back seat and a useless one. With those extra 3-inches, the new S60 truly becomes a great mid-sized family luxury sedan.
The S60 Inscription adds a luxurious style, extraordinary poise, and the legendary safety quotient that the car manufacturing company is known for. The new addition to Volvo’s S60 line lets interested customers choose between two variants. One is the T5-Inscription Drive-E FWD and the Inscription T5 AWD. Apart from the difference in their prices, the former uses a front-drive powertrain whereas the latter model uses an all-wheel drive mechanism. Other than these differences, both models are offered with base and Platinum trims. It should be noted that the “base” version of the Inscription’s trims is directly related to the Premier version of the standard S60 model, but with some added extras. The standard feature of the car will then have 18-inch alloy wheels, leather upholstery, front and rear proximity sensor arrays, interior accent lighting, additional sound insulation technology, a sunroof, navigation controls, an incoming air filtration system, and a power rear sunshade. Aside from the mentioned features, the car will also have a dual-zone automatic climate control, a 7-inch video display, voice activation for a few secondary functionalities, low-speed forward collision warnings, Bluetooth telephone and audio stream functions, and the famous Volvo Sensus smartphone applications. Interested customers that want to acquire the Volvo S60 Inscription Platinum edition will add a bit to the base model’s price. However, the car will also add a number of extra features which includes a 12-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, keyless entry and ignition, and smart cruise control just to name a few.
