What is the Sennheiser PC 363D? It is a headset built for hardcore PC gamers. As such, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players should look somewhere else. It is packaged with 7.1 Surround Sound to give top-end sound quality that can boost audio performance even for the most basic of PCs or laptops.

Sennheiser PC 363D Review - Superior Audio Performance is Met With an Unpopular Design Choice

The Sennheiser PC 363D Gives an Audio Boost to PCs and Laptops

In terms of appearance, the Sennheiser PC 363D is mighty similar to that of the company’s own PC 350 SE. It is primarily made with plastic that has a gun-grey aluminum motif going on each earcup. It is not the prettiest design that you can get, even for a PC gaming headset. Furthermore, the plastic feels a bit on the less premium side of things, which should not be the case especially when you have a headset aimed at the top-end of the market.

While it does not have the visual appeal, it is built like a brick. It has a very solid build quality that you can just throw inside a rucksack whenever you wish, or survive a fall from a moderate height (such as your desk), or even get thrown onto your bed for when your teammates are giving you such a hard time and you decide to rage quit. Even the microphone is built like a rock.

Since it is solidly built, you would immediately think that the PC 363D has low levels of comfort. On the other hand, there’s less pressure on the headset and comfort is amazing. It flexes just enough to be placed in a comfortable position regardless of what size or shape your head has. The earpads are covered in a velvety-soft fabric and are able to grip firmly. With its 249-gram weight, it is light enough to not bring any kind of discomfort during long gaming sessions.

As for sound quality, it is nothing short but excellent. To start, the standard packaging comes with a 3D G4ME1 USB sound card which connects to its 3.5-millimeters audio and mic inputs. You can then choose the option to switch from 2, 4, 5.1, or 7.1 surround. Listening with the device on and selecting the standard 7.1 Surround Sound input and you will brought with a fantastic audio experience. You will be et with a vibrant and spacious sound, with bass have a nice kick but not too overbearing.

While the price tag may be a bit hefty, the Sennheiser PC 363D is the PC gaming headset you would want. However, its design definitely makes this particular unit to stay indoors.
