The next Pokémon titles to graces Nintendo’s handheld console, the Nintendo 3DS, are Pokémon Sun and Moon and it is said that the aforementioned next-generation Pocket Monsters game is going to be launched before the year 2016 ends. Even though most of the information pertaining to the duo titles are still kept behind closed doors within the popular gaming company, there are new information (albeit unofficial) that are popping up inside the World Wide Web as of late. One of those new information to rise up is that the games will include a translator feature.

Pokémon Sun and Moon - Upcoming Titles to Include a Pokémon Translator, Reports Say

Reports Claim Pokémon Sun and Moon Will Include a Translator Feature

According to gaming website GameNGuide, Pokémon Sun and Moon will include a feature that is dubbed as “Pokémon Cry Translator.” The aforementioned feature was supposed to be originally planned for the previous Pokémon titles, them being Pokémon X and Pokémon Y. Unfortunately, the feature did not make it to the final version of the Pokémon X and Y games. But instead, the report claims that it will soon hit “Sun and Moon.”

There are also other reports which suggest Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon to have that “Pokémon Cry Translator.” The feature is said to be very helpful as it will allow players to understand what the Pokémon is saying, and not entirely relying on Pokédex descriptions.

Junichi Masuda, director for the upcoming Pokémon videogame titles, has recently told Nintendo Life of the following: “But one thing that I wanted to put in that didn’t quite make it was a translating machine for Pokémon cries, to find out what they’re saying. So you have this machine and when a Pokémon cries out something, text would appear telling you exactly what that Pokémon is saying.”

The videogame director’s plan for adding in a Pokémon translator feature was not just to make the gaming experience for Pokémon X and Pokémon Y better. Masuda also states that he wanted the feature to be there as the idea will not work for the competitors; it was supposed to become an edge for the franchise. Once again, Nintendo did fail to implement it to the X and Y versions of the game, but fans are hoping that the Pokémon Cry Translator will appear in Sun and Moon.

Pokémon Sun and Moon are expected to be released at Holiday 2016. Before that day would arrive, fans hope that more official news do pop out, and one of those expected information is the Pokémon Cry Translator feature for the Sun and Moon versions.
