Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2 Review – More Brains!

It would come to no surprise why we are now getting Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2. With the success of the original Plants Vs. Zombies game, it would only be a matter of time how the point-and-click style of gameplay now became a shooter. The first iteration of Garden Warfare was very reliant on multiplayer bouts with friends before you could even open it on your gaming console. But this time around, it’s about to change. EA still promises to have that chaotic but very fun multiplayer option, but now there are some features that will appeal to solo gamers as well.

Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2 Gives More Options to Solo Players

In Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2, solo play comes mainly in the form of a large hub which is entitled the “Backyard Battleground.” Even though Pop Cap has made it similar to Destiny’s The Tower, it really is more than just that. This feature combines many playstyles such as upgrading your characters, undertaking specific quests, accessing vendors, and of course, playing with friends.

In Backyard Battleground, it has two bases just like the original Plants vs Zombies game. But instead of just protecting your home on the left from the rampaging zombies on the right, these bases now even has names. The one for the zombies is called Zomburbia and the one for the plants is called Suburbia. The space in the middle of both bases is called No Man’s Land.

Depending on which character you opt for, you will get across different sections of the map. If you are brave enough, you can even wander into enemy territory to try out your luck. Still, there are ways to enjoy Backyard Battleground in Garden Warfare 2 without having to go full Rambo on the enemy team. There are other things moving along, such as The Flag of Power. This is basically the game’s take on Horde Mode. When you choose to raise the flag, it will signal the enemy troops to attack by waves. After each wave is cleared, their strength and duration will increase when the next horde arrives, as you would expect.

Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2 has built upon its original playstyle and has even made it so much better. There is now plenty of ways to for a solo player to get into the game and there is even more to keep multiplayer fans happy.
