It maybe that you want to give life to the prom dress that gave you the only opportunity to feel like a princess or the college reunion dates marked on the calendar are fast approaching.

This is true for cars, too. Lighter whips guzzle less fuel, are much quicker and also easier to maintain.

With an updated engine that is much smaller than the one on the older version. The chassis is much compact and lighter. All this makes the vehicle 325KGs lighter than older versions.

Features of the 2017 Audi Q7

The beauty that is a beast has come of age as a deluxe luxury sports utility machine that puts it against notable competitors like the Mercedes-GLS-Class, BMW X5, and Volvo XC90.

Since its debut in 2006, many milestones have been realized by Audi and look what we have here;

Engine

Being agile doesn’t mean that the car is flimsy. The Q7 just got more solid in regards to power and drive.

The power-house, a 3-litre supercharged V6 is able to chuck up to 333 horsepower and a total of 325 pound-feet of torque on premium fuel.

All this brute is coupled with an all-wheel drive system operating through an eight-speed automatic transmission.

With all that power, there is not a hint of lag to be felt either on the highway or the suburbia even will all seats occupied and the boot packed.

The engine sprints the Audi Q7 from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 5.7 seconds, which is quite fast.

You need to be alert though because the powerhouse is quiet enough to let you sleep past the speed limit.

Interior

new-audi-q7-interiorThe Audi Q7 is crafted for the big family. Everything from the technology to the space has been engineered with the family in mind.

For this edition of the Q7, there are seven seats that come as standard with a 775-litre boot with the rear seats folded down.

Every seat in the car apart from the driver’s seat has an Isofix mounting point for child seat, so it is possible to have as much as six child seats at a go.

Being a stickler to technology and upbeat cabins, Audi has again proved that they can bring the living room to the car. The comfort levels are quite luxurious if not royal. The seats are supremely ergonomic to allow for different body structures.

The leg room is plenty and quite what you make it; just slide the seat forward or backward and you are good. The felt leather seats that can come in different colors could be heated to comfortable warmth during cold.

The seats have a massage feature too to take the strain off during long journeys, so you arrive as fresh as you left. What’s more? The seats have individualized climate control, so you are in your own world whenever you feel like.

As is with most other S.U.Vs, the cargo space can get scarce when the rear seats are in use.

However, the power controlled seats at the backs will pave way for your extra cargo whenever you demand it. The tailgate opens through a kick-to-open maneuver when you are laden with groceries.

You then have the virtual cockpit that gives you clear and razor sharp driver information interface on the dashboard.

This includes a navigator, a camera display, and gauges that can be configured. There is a retractable screen and a touch pad that can allow you to enter data for navigation and search.

The Audi Q7 has a 4G LTE connectivity that can turn the car into a Wi-Fi hotspot and even send crash notifications to the nearest emergency medical workers.

The Audi Q7 is definitely the family’s number one choice.
