Mortal Kombat XL – Enter the Alien and the Predator

Prepare for combat, or rather should we say prepare for “Kombat,” as Mortal Kombat XL has recently been announced. While there are many who are still enjoying the many bloody offerings of Mortal Kombat X, the upcoming videogame enters the market as more of an update rather than a completely new game. NetherRealm Studios pits all the iconic characters from the previous Mortal Kombat title, and adds to new “people” into the mix – the alien and the predator. Furthermore, all the skins from the original game will be added in this new installment. What’s even better is that those updates that have been added from the original Kombat Pack and Kombat Pack 2 can also be enjoyed in XL.

Mortal Kombat XL Brings More Blood and Gore

It’s not just the xenomorph from the Alien movies, and the Predator from the Predator movies, that you would get to enjoy playing with in Mortal Kombat XL. There are also some iconic characters from known horror movies, including Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th and Leatherface from The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. All of these new characters have their own unique fatalities to brutally massacre the living daylights of their opponents.

The new Mortal Kombat X title will include the new characters along with all the returning characters from the original game. Therefore, you can still play as Sub-Zero, Triborg, and Bo’Rai Cho. Furthermore, all the playable characters from the Mortal Kombat X Kombat Pack will be accompanied by three themed skins. Speaking of skins, there’s also the new Apocalypse Skin Pack to enjoy. Other previously released content, such as Goro, the Brazil Skin Pack, Samurai Skin Pack, Kold War Scorpion Skin, and the Kold War Skin Pack can be enjoyed in the new title.

As an added bonus, those who play the game in the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles will be able to download a free new Medieval Skin Pack and Pit Stage environment that was seen on the classic Mortal Kombat arena. These will even include a stage-specific Fatality.

Those who already own a copy of the original Mortal Kombat X title can purchase the Mortal Kombat XL pack, which will include all the new content including those found in the original Kombat Pack and Kombat Pack 2. The game can be picked up in stores, while the XL Pack and Kombat Pack 2 are available via the PlayStation Store and Xbox Live.
