Mobile Friendly Sites Boosted By Search Companies

More and more people today uses mobile phones to search and browse the net. Smartphones have already become our lifeline to the other world which is the online world. Knowingly or unknowingly smartphones have contributed to the changing aspect not just to the world as a whole but also to our own personal lives.

As smartphone revolutionizes, giant search companies are also coping up with smartphones as it advances. Any individual can attest how significant their smartphone is and they can’t even imagine a life in a single day without their mobile devices, on the other hand the giant tech companies knew it well, that is why Google have already boosted mobile friendly websites to deliver better results to smartphones and other mobiles devices, and Bing will purportedly follow Google’s lead.

It is dimmed to be a significant move as it will certainly blow traffic on certain websites (mobile friendly sites) this is a good move on the other hand, however it will also lead to visitors loss for a website which is not mobile-friendly.

YOUR WEBSITE SHOULD BE MOBILE FRIENDLY

For site owners it is also important to ensure that your website is mobile friendly to stay competitive, although Google is not overly justifying this move as the website which contain the best results apparently will still end up on top yet users of mobile devices will surely leave your websites if your website will not prove its mobile usability. Since Bing will follow Google’s lead we can expect that Bing will also delivers the same output as Google’s.

As confirmed by Bing’s Shyam Jayasankar in a blog post “While the changes will improve ranking for mobile-friendly pages, webpages that are highly relevant to the given query that are not yet mobile-friendly will not get penalized.”

Google started giving mobile-friendly sites a boost last month while Bing will supposedly begin rolling out its search ranking changes in the coming months. The delay with Bing’s part is an advantage for website owners to make sure that their sites is mobile friendly so when the implementation starts the site will not suffer from loss of traffic.
