Some of the notable highlights of the update will include real-time editing by multiple people. This provides better productivity, especially for businesses.

The update also includes a number of new designs and looks for the office programs. The collection of themes will include dark and colorful sets, which lets users have a bit of creativity with their office software.

The Microsoft Office 2016 Update Carries New Features

As the company stated in a recent blog post, they will also release a bunch of new tools to go along with Microsoft Office 2016. The post also states of new IT capabilities for the update on the software. This includes a deployment support for BITS or Background Intelligent Transfer Service. This will assist in the control of network traffic when the company decides to add further updates into the mix. It could also mean better control when controlling documents and other office applications with ease when sharing files between multiple people. Other reports on this are available at the Office 365 admin portal. Other than the deployment support for bits, Office 2016 will also have support for Data Loss Prevention. This will be uploaded to all apps pertaining to the 2016 update. Multi-factor Authentication, along with other critical control functionalities, will be added in said update.

Like with the company’s approach to their new operating system, the WIndows 10, they have stated that their update model for the 2016 office software will include three cumulative feature major updates per year. Other than that, Microsoft will be sending monthly security updates to deal with reports on bugs and compatibility issues. When updating the Office programs, Microsoft will also be adding another feature into the mix called Current Branch for Business. This option allows businesses to stay up-to-date with the various upgrades that Microsoft will be throwing in, which includes the tri-annual update and the monthly updates on the software’s safety measures.

The company also tells its local community that questions related to the Microsoft Office 2016 can be discussed and answered over at their forums. It’s not just the tech company that will be helping with solving issues about the software, but other people within the community as well.
