Microsoft now released Windows 10 build 10061

With Windows 8 now Windows 8.1, Microsoft tried – not entirely successfully – to produce tablets component of a continuum that goes from number-crunching workstations and high-end gaming rigs through all-in-one touchscreen news systems and thin-and light notebooks right down to slender touch tablets.

The general consensus is it still has a long way to create a unified OS. Recently, Microsoft publicly made the very first actions to doing just that, with Windows 10. Skipping the Windows 9 name totally, the Redmond. The firm aims to step to the next generation of computing with the right foot forward.

Microsoft has released another Windows 10 build for the Windows Operating System. The build number for this release is 10061 and you can begin downloading the build now.

Microsoft’s vision of the next day’s ideal operating system is grander still. The objective is to provide a unified experience across products of all of the shapes and sizes, and another that will morph to help make sense: icons to tap and home screens when you’re on a phone or tablet, but windowed apps and nested folders when you’re armed with a keyboard and mouse. And then there’s Windows 10 in the Xbox One. We might not desire to run Excel on our consoles (OK, I might), but the proven fact that Microsoft’s system and PCs will have a way to share apps puts quite a bit of power in the possession of of developers.

Windows 8 imagined dragging us into that future, but we kicked and screamed at the inefficiency of its one-size-fits-all approach. With Windows 10, Microsoft seems to be getting it right.
