Hyrule Warriors Legends – Character From Link’s Awakening Added to Roster

Hyrule Warriors Legends is set to have its Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening themed DLC pack. The Dynasty Warriors-esque game with Legend of Zelda characters was well received, especially from fans of the Nintendo title. Even though it almost has nothing to do with the popular puzzle solving element that is found in most Legend of Zelda titles, there is something fun about mashing attack buttons to kill waves upon waves of enemies using Link’s Master Sword, Linkle’s Dual Crossbow, and other attacks found from an array of characters. That being said, Zelda hungry fans will now get more content as Marin from Link’s Awakening will join the fray.

Hyrule Warriors Legends is About to Get Marin From Link’s Awakening

The announcement pertaining to the DLC for Hyrule Warriors Legends was confirmed via the official Twitter account of Nintendo of America. The March 26 tweet revealed that the Koholint Island musician will be joining the character roster for both the Wii U and 3DS versions of the game.

The question is, why Marin? Many fans know that the musician isn’t exactly what you can call “combat ready” in the Game Boy title of the Zelda series. However, Nintendo promises that this harp-playing muse is more than capable of holding her own when the need arises.

In addition to the new character, there is more to expect for the upcoming DLC pack for Hyrule Warriors Legends (Wii U and 3DS). Fans will be excited to know there will be new My Fair costumes, a new weapon for Linkle, and a brand new map for Adventure Mode. For the new map, there will be two corresponding challenge battle scenarios.

The gaming company has yet to reveal a concrete release date for the DLC pack. However, they promised that Marin will be able to join Link and the others sometime in Summer 2016. With the upcoming DLC pack, these join two other previously announced DLC packs for the game. There is already a DLC pack announced that will be centered around Toon Link-centered games such as the Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks. This Toon Link-themed DLC pack will be available sometime in Winter 2016.

For fans of Hyrule Warriors Legends, or The Legend of Zelda titles in general that are playing the Wii U or 3DS version of this game, will be able to take Marin for a spin when the pack will be available for download.
