Hugely Popular Game Minecraft Sends Its Story Mode to Consoles and Phones This October

Open world block building simulator Minecraft will add a new story mode to that will launch on home gaming consoles and mobile devices in the middle of October 2015, as Telltale Games had just recently announced. The game’s developer stated in their company’s blog on Wednesday that they will be able to begin Minecraft: Story Mode adventure when it hits capable devices by next month.

Minecraft: Story Mode Adventure Lets Players Begin Their Blocky Stories by October 2015

The game is true to the its roots as Minecraft lets players build a whole bunch of stuff in its original play-style. However, in the story mode, players will be able to embark on an adventure that will take them to various worlds so that they can use their design capabilities and imaginations to help save everyone from an impending doom. Travel across the Overworld, the Nether, up to the End and beyond to find and kill the dragon that is wreaking havoc across the world.

Become a part of The Order of The Stone as players go through a series of episodic adventures that will eventually lead them to their main objective.

Unlike its original playing style, Minecraft: Story Mode sidetracks a bit as players will be given specific objectives to progress. The original game had players express their creative freedom by stacking blocks upon blocks to create wonderful pieces of art (or even strongholds).

In this new mode, players take control of a main character named Jesse. However, players are given a certain amount of freedom in customizing their main character as the game will allow one of three different looks as they progress through the storyline. Players are also given the option as to whether Jesse will be male or female.

It is foreseen that the new mode for Telltale’s massive hit of a videogame has episodes that will be released at least once a month. The company’s other games like Borderlands, Game of Thrones, and The Walking Dead, the new mode for Minecraft will be very compelling and equally fun to play.

The new Minecraft game will go live in multiple gaming platforms by next month. It will be available on Mac, PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PS3, and Xbox 360. After it has been launched on home gaming consoles, it will follow through for iOS and Android devices just two days after the initial release on October 13. It has also been announced that it will arrive at Wii U and PlayStation Vita consoles but release dates have not been verified or announced as of the moment.
