HP Color LaserJet Pro M452dw Review – Your Choice Color Laser Printer

When looking for a color laser printer on the market, the HP Color LaserJet Pro M452dw should be your top choice at the moment. Even though it is larger than other, more compact laser printers in the market, it is still small enough to find a room in an office. Still, don’t expect it to share a desk with a more comfortable personal printer. Its speed and image printing quality are above average for its price point, which makes it a definite choice for many.

The HP Color LaserJet Pro M452dw Has Above Average Performance for Speed and Image Quality

Comparing the HP Color LaserJet Pro M452dw with the HP Color Laserjet Pro M252dw, the former is a large step up from the latter. It does have a higher price compared to the M252dw, but it has been given a significant boost in speed and in paper handling. There are now two trays as opposed to one, and there’s even a manual feed option. It even has twice the capacity.

When it comes to paper handling, the LaserJet Pro M452dw has a 250-sheet main tray, a 50-sheet multi-purpose tray, and a duplexer. This is enough for most micro or small office printing jobs. Should you need more, there is an optional 550-sheet tray, but that would take more money out of your wallet.

Like many modern laser printers, it also supports mobile printing. You can connect the printer straight to a router using an Ethernet cord, or wireless through Wi-Fi. You can also connect the printer through an access point on the network to print using an Android, iOS, or Blackberry device. You can also print using the cloud, assuming that the printer is connected to the Internet.

However, if you plan on connecting the printer via a single USB cable to a computer, then you lose the ability to print from the cloud. However, doing so can still let you take advantage of wireless printing through a Wi-Fi connection from your phone or tablet. Also, the printer has NFC, so if you’re device supports this technology, you can print using this as well.

Text prints come out subpar and it is even slightly worse than what many color laser printers can manage. However, printing graphics was far better than other laser printers. Photo quality can even be found in the high end of a range. Hence, as long as you don’t need small fonts during prints, then you’re good to go with this one.

The HP Color LaserJet Pro M452dw offers mixed results when it comes to printing. Text do come out worse than what other printers can offer, but image quality is definitely better. Also, its speed and paper-handling is definitely greater than most of its rivals.
