Rockstar Games is still pouring on the updates for Grand Theft Auto Online as they deliver more content and even in-game events. The latest one to hit the massively famous online variant of GTA V is currently on-going (at the time of writing) and will end later this week. The new event is called “High Life Week,” and it started on the 22nd of April and will end on the 28th.
High Life Week is On-Going in Grand Theft Auto Online
In the announcement that developer Rockstar Games had posted in Newswire, the latest in-game event is a celebration of the two new maps for players of Grand Theft Auto Online. These two new maps are part of the “Inch by Inch” playlist that are found in the online mode. In the press release, the developers said to their players, “You’ll be fighting tooth and nail amongst the much and hay bales at the Grapeseed Cow Farm in Inch by Inch III or setting up security checkpoints for low flying bag carriers entering your zone’s airspace at LSIA in Inch By Inch IV.”
The High Life Week is a weeklong event (obviously) and it is able to let players enjoy double the rewards for in-game missions. Furthermore, players are able to accumulate twice the RP and in-game cash when they accomplish specific day playlists. The available missions are ranging from simple races to team death matches.
For GTA Online players who have other motives in mind, more specifically speaking that of expanding their properties and inventories, also have the chance to gain in-game assets. While in the “High Life Week” event, properties found within the game, such as pent houses and stilt, will have as much as 25-percent discounts off of their regular price points. As for the many different vehicles found in the game, such as high-end yachts, they will have at least 20-percent discounts slashed off of their regular price tags. There are also other savings that can be seen such as expenditures when it comes to yacht customizations. Of course, what would be a GTA game without weapons as they are seen to have their prices slashed as well. For example, the bullpup rifle can now be acquired at a lower price than its regular tag.
As part of the game’s expansions, Grand Theft Auto Online is getting week-long events. However, there are some fans of the title who feel that there should be a proper follow-up DLC rather than just having weeklong evens.
