It has a sturdy chassis and the system boasts a full HD touch screen. It also has a wide array of port option and a pretty solid battery life. It stays close to one of its higher-end rivals, the Apple Macbook Air 13-inch. Therefore, Asus’ offering is a more-affordable option.

The Asus ZenBook UX305CA has a Sleek Design and an Above Satisfactory Performance

The Asus ZenBook UX305CA has an attractive and slim aluminum design. It has a brushed, circular pattern on the lid which has an Obsidian Stone color. When reading about this on paper, you would be hard-pressed to guess that color right off the bat. However, to properly describe it (for the most part), it appears to be a shade of gray or silver at a distance but will generate a purplish tinge when hit under a certain light.

This laptop has dimensions of 0.5 x 12.8 x 8.9-inches. It is also very lightweight as it only weighs 2.6-pounds. Even though the metal body does provide a little extra heft, it makes the system have a solid feel to it as a result. Hence, this tradeoff is more than worth it.

A noteworthy aspect of the ZenBook UX305CA‘s design is that the back of the lid hangs slightly just over the base of the laptop. Therefore, whenever you push the screen back, the bottom of the laptop will slightly be propped off no matter what surface the laptop is on. There are two tiny plastic feet on the bottom of the lid. These slide more easily than a lid itself would. This design is intentional and it does give the keyboard some slant to produce a more ergonomic way of typing.

At its core, it is powered with a sixth-generation Skylake 800MHz Intel Core m3-6Y30 processor with 6GB of RAM. There is also an integrated Intel HD Graphics 515. Although the processor won’t deliver high-end performance, it is still well-suited for the ultraportable class that focuses on an above average performance while still maintaining portability and mobility.

With the Asus ZenBook UX305CA, you get a well-made system that has a good display and performance. It has a fairly solid build quality and is placed at a generous value. Get this if you want a more affordable option than the pricier Apple MacBook Air 13-inch.
