The Worldwide Developers Conference by Apple has just been announced by Siri recently, so iOS users were able to get a firsthand shout out from the popular artificial intelligence for the company’s next big event. The conference will take place on June 13 to 17 of this year, and the company then followed up with an interesting WWDC home page which is Swift-inspired.
What to Expect in Apple’s WWDC Event?
This year, there are many expectations that are on the rise for the Apple WWDC. The company says, “The Keynote and State of the Union promise exciting reveals, providing inspiration and new opportunities to continue creating the most innovative apps in the world.” The keynote will happen at the Bill Graham Center this year, and it will be able to hold approximately 3,000 people within.
In a recent press release, Phil Schiller, Apple’s SVP worldwide product marketing, has the following to say: “WWDC 2016 is going to be a landmark event for developers who are coding in Swift, and building apps and products for iOS, OS X, watchOS, and tvOS.”
The Apple WWDC 2016 will primarily be a developer event. Nevertheless, it is expected that Swift will be seen with a significant enhancement as the tech giant continues to put a lot of effort into fast-tracking their open source system. Additionally, the iPhone SE attempted to ensure every iOS user is using devices that are capable of working with content developed by Metal to also prove to be significant. After all, why else would the company enhance the App Store guide for developers, and why else would they want to stress that there are now one billion actively used iOS devices?
It is also expected that there will be some information pertaining to upgrades across the company’s platforms, namely the OS X, iOS, tvOS, and watchOS at the WWDC 2016. Speculations include a Siri support for Mac computers, updates to tvOS and CarPlay, a wider (and hopefully better) implementation of the 3D Touch feature, and iCloud voicemail that can be accessed across all devices. Furthermore, it is also anticipated that there will be further extension and improvements towards the company’s Continuity and Handoff solutions.
Lastly, there’s Siri, which is the very familiar, very sassy, and very informative artificial intelligence by Apple. The fact that the announcement of the event came from the mouth(?) of the AI underlines just how important it will be towards the company’s future plans.
