When you hear someone talking about the Microsoft Xbox gaming console, most people would automatically equate that to the Halo series; and now, we have the Halo 5: Guardians. At first glance, people would automatically marvel at how beautiful this Xbox One exclusive is. During the game, players can get immersed at the first person shooter’s nonstop action experience. Literally almost every corner is riddled with monsters and baddies just waiting to be shot, hacked, slashed, or blown to bits. There is also loads of multiplayer modes for loads of fun with friends. It also has a new mod called Warzone.
Halo 5: Guardians is the Xbox One’s Masterpiece
So what’s new in Halo 5: Guardians? First off, there’s the ability to aim down the sights of any weapon. That’s right – Any. Weapon. There’s also a new boosting function that will propel the player in just about any direction. There’s also new maneuvers such as shooting while sliding, stomp down on enemies when you’re landing, or perform a charge move. These new maneuvers may look more “eye-candy” than functionality. However, the most notable addition to this 4th installment arrives in the form of the structure of the campaign.
Once again, players will still take control of Master Chief. But this time, you can also play as Spartan Locke in alternating missions. Locks will be assigned in reeling in the Chief. Both characters are accompanied by three-man teams who will stick to their sides throughout the entire time. The additional three members are but AIs generated by the game. However, if you want human assistance, you can play as co-op that allows 3 other players to join you throughout the campaign.
Aside from the campaign mode of Halo 5, there are also a lot of multiplayer modes for hours and hours of enjoyment. There are the mainstays like Slayer (or team deathmatch) and Capture the Flag. Now, there are new multiplayer variants such as Warzone, which pits you with other players in a map. If that sounds like its nothing new, then know that there could be a maximum 23 of other players within the same map shooting endlessly. It’s practically frantic fun.
The new multiplayer option for Halo 5: Guardians pits this 5th installment to an evolutionary step up to the gaming franchise. Even though the campaign mode is quite quick to finish, there are hours, and hours, and hours of fun through its multiplayer modes.
