Apart from English the Skype for Web also supports other languages such as Arabic, Bulgarian, Czech, Danish, German, Greek, Spanish, Estonian, Finnish, French, Hebrew, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Portuguese (Portugal), Romanian, Russian, Swedish, Turkish, Ukrainian, Chinese Simplified, and Chinese Traditional.
SKYPE FOR WEB BETA
Available as a smartphone app and desktop client, the roll-out envisions people using Skype for Web in order to respond to contacts via a bigger screen, or on an internet café computer that might not have the program installed.
FIRST AVAILABLE TO THE UK AND US
The Skype for Web Beta was first introduced to the US and UK earlier this month. The app will be available to both smartphone and desktop client. Notifications will be delivered to you even if you are navigating other sites in another window. Therefore there will be no reason that you incoming messages will be missed.
Microsoft’s Jonathan Watson said that, “Skype for Web is perfect if you normally use Skype on your mobile, but want to quickly get to your calls and IMs on a bigger screen. Or perhaps you’re sitting at a Windows or Mac computer in an internet café or hotel that doesn’t already have Skype downloaded.”
