Hyundai had already made recent announcement that Android Auto is already available in their Sontata 2015 making Hyundai to be the first car geared with the latest software. General Motors on the other hand said in a statement that the smartphone-compatible systems will be offered in 14 models, including the soon-to-be-released Cruze compact car.
Pertaining to General Motors partnership with giant tech companies Apple and Google GM CEO Mary Barra said that, “It is a great example of how Chevrolet continues to democratize technology that’s important to our customers.”
Smartphones fill an important role in our day to day life it is so essential that you can’t imagine life without it. While the Android Auto app allows users to use Google Maps, Google Now and to access various messaging apps such as WhatsApp and Skype with Apple’s CarPlay, drivers can make calls, send and receive messages, and listen to music from either the touch screen or by commanding Siri. Users can also access their apps on the car’s touch screen.

General Motors said that many functions can be controlled from the steering wheel with the expansion, Chevrolet will offer Android Auto and Apple CarPlay in more of its cars than any other auto manufacturer.
The list of other models which will feature this technology are Chevrolet’s Spark, Malibu, Camaro and Silverado. While other models will receive either seven- or eight-inch MyLink Infotainment systems.
