The 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT doesn’t look like your ordinary SUV; in fact, it can be classified as the muscle car of SUVs. While it does have power, it still boasts in the fuel economy sector that also delivers great speed and more than decent handling capabilities.
The 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT is the Muscle Car of SUVs
The 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT has a 6.4-liter Hemi V-8 engine with Fuel Saver Technology. It delivers 475-horsepower at 6,000 rpm/ It also has 470-lb of torque at 4,300 rpm. The engine, combined with a rotary knob with two options (them being “sport” and “track”) and a small button labeled “LAUNCH” and it will do more than just your average SUV.
The Grand Cherokee SRT’s Sport mode is where drivers can be at the happiest. Using the standard Auto Mode, drivers are able to use an economy tuning feature that shuts down the car’s cylinders in an aggressive fashion. This will generally make the automobile drive like any other ordinary Grand Cherokee. However, this is probably not the reason why people would buy this vehicle.
The Sport mode of the vehicle completely changes the GC. Owners and drivers can immediately tell that the engineers have spent their delicate time on this feature. This is what makes the car “Grand.”
In this mode, there will be a shift with the paddles which will be dual-clutch quick. Drivers can throw the SRT around in various ways that can sometimes look as if it is defying the laws of a 5,100-pound automobile. Even with big Brembo brakes, the car wants more room to slow down; just watch the binders as it goes.
As for driving luxury, there is plenty to enjoy while inside the SRT. There is Uconnect, heated seating and steering wheel. While the interior layout and architecture may not look like a high-end Audi, all the materials used are generally good. However, there is a white-contrast stitching found on the top of the dashboard which can be annoying for some as it will reflect the windshield at certain angles. Still, the bottom line is everything will be worth every cent spent on this car.
Upon first glance (especially by non-SUV fans), the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT can be a complete joke. It can be perceived as nothing more than an ego-machine that people cannot help but wallow in disgust. However, its performance delivers really well (especially when Sport mode kicks in).
