The San Francisco Branch of Madame Tussauds is looking for the next technology wizard to be molded and immortalized in a life-like size wax statues.
What is Madame Tussauds?
Madame Tussauds is a wax museum in London with branches in a number of major cities in the world. It was founded by wax sculptor Marie Tussaud. It is a major tourist attraction in London, displaying waxworks of famous people.
Public Voting
To proceed with who will be the next tech-wizard that will line with Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg, Madame Tussauds cited that the selection will be based from the public from through voting.
Presenting the next tech wizard to line up with other famous people
The public will vote and select from the likes of Elon Musk, CEO, SpaceX; Sheryl Sandberg, COO, Facebook; Marc Benioff, CEO, Salesforce.com; Jane Metcalfe, Co-founder, Wired Ventures and Ed Catmull, President, Pixar Animation Studios and Walt Disney Animation Studios.
The criteria for nomination
1) Your nominee should have a Bay Area connection (company based in the Bay Area, born here, lives here, went to school in the Bay, etc.)
2) The nominee should already be recognized as a thought leader, innovator and/or influencer to their industry.
Madame Tussauds wax collection for a life like statues already include Mark Zuckerberg the famous founder of Facebook who did not sit through the creation process of his wax statue. On the other hand Steve Jobs made it to the international Madame Tussauds list after his death in 2012.
Back to the question of who will be the next tech-persona that will be inside the museum? It depends upon the public of who will the public vote. The one that will get the highest number of votes will be the winner and it will be proclaimed on May 26.
