The new and upgraded Acer Switch Hybrid PCs will come in different models.

Just like the older version of the Acer Switch that has a magnetic hinge that connects its screen and keyboard so thus the new and upgraded Acer Switch it adopted the use of a magnetic hinge.

Snap Hinge – is what Acer calls the magnetic hinge that attached its screen and keyboard.

Different Product Models of Acer Switch Hybrid:

  • Switch 10 E – A 10-inch Acer Switch Hybrid which comes in six colors that has a soft textured finish. Powered by Intel Atom that has a 1,280×800 display. The costs of this starts at $279 it will be available in the US this coming July. Also, a higher-end Switch 10 alternative will also be available this particular variant has the look of the Acer Aspire S7 Laptop it has a layer over the back of its lid that is built with Gorilla glass that surely gives a cool effect. It has a 1,920×1,200 display in terms of availability it will come in by August in the US and its costs starts at $399
  • Switch 11 – This hybrid PC has a full HD display, and is powered by Intel’s Core M Processor. It has an aluminum look. However, the costs and date of availability is still unknown for this model.
  • Switch 12 – According to Acer this particular model is ready to stand up against competition such as Apple’s 12-inch MacBook, Samsung’s 12-inch Ativ Book 9, and the Asus T300 Chi. Just like with Switch 11 the costs and date of availability is still unknown.

Falls also in the new hybrid PCs category of Acer Switch is the Aspire 11 this time Acer uses a fold-back hinge that is comparable to Lenovo’s Yoga line. The Aspire 11 will be powered by either Intel Pentium or Celeron processors, or only a 1,366×768 resolution display. The costs? It is only $249 and the release of this model will be on July in the US.
