The Marshall London Phone is the mobile phone product of a company that is known for making great amps and guitars. A lot of people would question as to why the change in direction for the company? Why would a company that is very famous for creating great amps and guitars make a smartphone?
Simply put, the Marshall brand realized that merely holding on to their rock heritage won’t help the company in the long run. Hence, the move in the direction of their production towards headphones and Bluetooth speakers. With the collaboration of Zound Industries, these everyday products were made into a reality.
Looking at the Marshall London Phone
Taking aside the company’s reasons for their new direction with regards to their product lines, the Marshall London Phone has an andequate 4.7 inch display along with an 8-megapixel rear camera. It has 2 GB of RAM with an internal storage of 16 GB. It uses a quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor and it has a mid-range price. Initial looks would tell people that the smartphone does not have anything that would make people go “gaga” about.
So what does the new London Phone have to boast about?
For one, it is made for more hardcore music lovers. Music creators, listeners, and ever remixers will be able to take a great liking to this smartphone. First of all, there are two headphone jacks that will each have its own set of volume control. This is really great for mixing music. Also, there is a dedicated Cirrus/Wolfson sound hub embedded into the phone. This grants the listener full-powered music. So if you would like to listen to nothing but your own tunes, then this might be the ideal smartphone for you. Going back to those two jacks, they serve another purpose as they are also inputs. Using a TRS cable, you can feed a signal from a guitar, microphone, or other musical device on it. Then, you can use the phone to record the music that you make with the musical instrument connected to the smartphone. That’s actually pretty neat!
Aside from the two jacks, The Marshall London Phone also has two embedded microphones into the mobile device. These are located on the top and bottom edges of the phone. This means that you will always have active noise-cancellation when doing calls AND record proper stereo when recording. Compared to other smartphones with sound recording capabilities, this phone from Marshall does a better job at doing it.
