Street Fighter V Introduces Alex as Part of the March Update

Alex did not appear first in Street Fighter V but it will be the first time he will join the roster on the 5th installment of the franchise. He first appeared during the good-old days of Street Fighter III. As with his old fighting style, he joins in the ranks of the grapplers much like Zangief and R. Mika. Along with grapples and throws, he also has a severe focus on close-range combat, unlike other characters that has projectiles and other things that can hit enemies from afar. His skills include Heavy Hammer, Rage Shift, and Overhaul among many others.

According to the Capcom blog, Alex has been one of the most requested to be placed within the character roster by many fans. Once he can get within range, players can expect that he can deal heavy damage with his fists, and even more so with his grabs. Also, he has long limbs to assist him in reaching out to his enemies a bit better.

Along with Alex, Street Fighter 5 will also have new features to come along within the March update. To start, Capcom is introducing a Challenge Mode for the title. In this mode, it will include tutorials for beginners, advanced, and even more professional players to hone their combo aptitudes. There are challenges for all 16 characters, which is great for gamers who don’t want to focus on just one character.

Additionally, the latest update will have gamers spend more Fight Money within the In-Game Shop. There’s also an Online Rematch option wherein players would have to agree to play with a “best of three” type of Ranked Match. There’re also improvements to the Battle Lounge. Along with the improvements and new features, Capcom states that they have also addressed a lot of issues and bugs in the latest update.

Street Fighter V is now available for purchase for the PlayStation 4 and for Windows PCs. Developers are also aiming to introduce even more content within the following months. These will include a Story Mode, which was previously revealed by Capcom. The gaming firm will also announce the release date for the March update within the month.
