Blizzard recently announced about their latest expansion in their Starcraft II franchise entitled Starcraft II: Legacy of the Void. It is the third installment to the trilogy and the story takes place after the events that happened within Heart of the Swarm. Lead produced of this new installment, Tim Morton, revealed the latest changes that will be happening in this sequel.
Starcraft II: Legacy of the Void Will be Available for Purchase on November 10, 2015
The lead producer has stated in a recent interview about the upcoming changes for Starcraft II: Legacy of the Void. One of the changes is brought by the new experience that the game will bring. With Wings of Liberty and Heart of Swarm, there were some pretty big differences with regards to user experiences, and the trend will continue on with this new installment of Starcraft II.
With Legacy of the Void, new features will pop up like the much awaited chat system.
Morton also stated that there will be new features for each player segment. Those that enjoy campaign mode and co-op mode will find something new to their favor. There is now also the addition of co-operative missions, wherein players are able to play a campaign-style mission but they can play it in co-op play style.
Archon mode is now included and automated tournaments for the multiplayer mode. For those that enjoy the Arcade mode, there are revamps to the user interface.
Aside from the features above, the lead producer stated that there will be additional features to make the game even better for every player that has a specific interest for playing this new and final installment to the Starcraft II franchise.
Tim Morton also speaks that the company will still do their best to continue on improving the many features of the game as all of their ideas are definitely on the table. They are always thinking of new ideas and ways to balance the game for everyone to enjoy. They are always chocking up new ways to make Starcraft as vibrant as possible.
It has been also reported that Starcraft II: Legacy of the Void‘s new Archon mode is very exciting to play with. The announcement of the new mode raises excitement levels of the avid fans of the entire Starcraft universe. The lead producer of the game also stated that when WCS in 2016 arrives, the entire game will be a very different experience.
