Q Acoustics Q-TV2 Review – A Soundbar That Doesn’t Look Like One

When you think about the looks of a soundbar, you would automatically think about the flat, rectangular-looking devices that would be more likely found at the base of a TV; but that’s not the case with the Q Acoustics Q-TV2. This device is an ingenious way to redefine the whole look of what you would normally see from soundbars everywhere. It is a pair of speakers that will attach on either side of a flat screen TV. This is a virtually invisible solution that is equipped with 100W of amplification, a slim subwoofer, and eight speaker drivers. All of which are designed to dramatically improve the audio experience from you TV.

The Q Acoustics Q-TV2 Brings a Unique Way to Enhance Your TV’s Audio

When it is clamped to the back of your television set, the Q Acoustics Q-TV2 is practically invisible. Therefore, you would not be bothered if it looked pretty or not in your eyes. But for what it’s worth, its design is that of an industrial look which is more common to be a wall mount rather than an actual soundbar. It has robust metal components all around it, which gives the required level of sturdiness to them.

For its main body, it measures 50-millimeters in depth. It has metal bars that are coming out of the sides which then hold the satellite speakers. This particular model is designed to fit between 32 and 42-inch TVs, but there is also the Q Acoustics Q-TV2X which is designed to fit for 42 and 50-inch displays.

Strapping it to the back of your screen will obviously bulk it up. Therefore, if you have a TV that you can boast about because of its thinness, then attaching this device to the back of the set will probably let you think twice with the gloating in the future. Since it does add a bit more bulk, it is not recommended for LED TVs that sport the “razor thin” moniker as it would not support the extra weight. However, Q Acoustics already thought about this as there is an included tabletop stand right out of the standard packaging. There are also wall brackets available within the box as well.

Despite its unique design, it does offer a terrific job in adding additional power to your TVs audio. It also adds depth to watching TV shows and movies. In fact, there may not be another soundbar to date that can match the clarity and sheer power of these speakers.

For an unorthodox design, the Q Acoustics Q-TV2, as well as the Q-TV2X, are able to deliver powerful sound with plenty of clarity and bass to enjoy. Add that with a price tag that is far from the high-end market and you got yourself a steal.
