A gaming tablet powered by an Intel Atom was recently announced by Acer at Computex 2015 held in Taipei. Acer revealed the making of this tablet first in an event at the World Trade Center in New York, during the first presentation, there were no specifics and detailed information about the tablet released. However, Jason Chen the CEO of Acer said in an interview that more details will be divulge soon, It was last April and now during the second appearance of the gaming tablet, the Predator 8 still under the state of development although there are now information being shared yet it is just a tidbit of what’s actually on it. That is why the launching of this product will be delayed up to September of this year by then the company will have ample time to work with the missing links.
FEW INFORMATION ABOUT THE GAMING TABLET
Mobile gaming is another rising industry because of that the Predator 8 of Acer is an entry point towards that growing market, Acer didn’t just launch a gaming tablet but the company has also come up with a Predator laptops and desktops an the company is also set to launch gaming monitors gearing with the Predator brand. Inside this tablet houses a an Android OS and an Intel Atom Processor which has a code name Cherry Trail, the graphics are two times faster compared to the previous Bay Trail. Cherry Trail chip is also the same chip used with the Surface 3 of Microsoft.
Meanwhile, in the stagnant PC market gaming PCs and Chromebooks are the largest growing segments. The Predator 8 appeared at the Computex but inside a glass case, no one can play nor touch it since there are still couple of issues the company has to solve with this one particular product according to Acer Representative.
The Predator 8 has an attractive look. Strong color sheme of metal gray combined with red a definitely appealing colors to gamers while on the four corners of the tablet has wing-like contours which at the same time houses speakers.
Competition is not a question and Predator will face a competition with Nvidia which is known for its Shield. Although there are still a lot of questions hounding Android core gaming platform but companies keep pressing technology far beyond.
