OnePlus 3 - Smartphone Specs Revealed

The OnePlus 3 is Now Brought Into Full View

Even though the OnePlus 3 carries the latest Qualcomm processor, given the history of the company’s flagship phones, this isn’t surprising. In fact, the OnePlus One and OnePlus 2 did come with the Snapdragon 801 and Snapdragon 810 respectively, which were high-end processing units at the time of their release.

Moving forward, the OnePlus 3 (A3000) is stated to have 4GB of RAM and a satisfactory built-in memory of 32GB. It is also possible that the unit that was leaked is the base unit of the phone. In other words, those who are looking for getting this particular smartphone will get the 32GB model at its lowest price and that there may be other memory iterations of the same model that will be available as well. This also means that the firm chucks out the idea of having an 8GB or even an 16GB model out the window.

The phone will be running on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow right off the bat. It will also have the OxygenOS which is the company’s custom Android-based skin. As for its other hardware specifications, it is revealed that the phone will have a full high-definition (1,920 x 1,080) pixel resolution display. While the photo of the phone presents very little as to what would its actual size be, speculations state that will fall on the 5.5-inch category. It is also said that it will sport a 16-megapixel rear snapper and an 8-megapixel camera at the front.

It was revealed in an earlier date that the handset will be unveiled by the firm in a Chinese even on the 7th of April. However, since the phone has already come into light, this won’t be the case any further. OnePlus will still be holding the event on April 7th, but the launch of the new phone will take place on another time as per a report from Gizmo China.

It is said that the OnePlus 3 will be launched at the end of the second quarter of this year, which the tech firm hinted on an earlier date. Carl Pei, company co-founder, also hinted that the new phone will have a new design, one that strays away from current flagship phones.
