Based on the leaks, the OnePlus 3 will be sporting a new design, and it will be something of a different look from the standard current-generation flagship smartphones, even those from other manufacturers. It is said that it will deliver slim design with metal frames along its side. There are reports that claim the handset will lose the fingerprint scanner in lieu of an iris scanner. However, there are other leaks that suggest the device would include a physical home button which will also double up to be a fingerprint scanner as well. Still, it is surely to be expected that a USB Type-C port, and a 35-millimeter headphone jack, will be included on the device.
Similar to its predecessor the OnePlus 2, this new “flagship killer” will offer a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with a 1,920 x 1,080-pixel resolution. It is also rumored that the firm will also unveil a smaller 5-inch model as well. There are previously released benchmark listings which hint at a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor being used with either a 4GB RAM or a 6GB one. It will most likely sport an Adreno 530 GPU, and it will be available in either 32GB or 64GB internal storage variants. There are those the speculate that the company will also release a 128GB internal storage model as well.
As per rumors circulating around the World Wide Web, the OnePlus 3 will sport a 3,000mAh battery or a 3,500mAh one. Furthermore, the handset will allegedly feature a Dash Charge, which is a homebrewed technology that may even challenge Oppo’s VOOC and Qualcomm’s Quick Charge technology. To recall, its predecessor packs a 3,300mAh battery and it was shipped with the Android Lollipop operating system with the OnePlus’ own OxygenOS on top. It is most likely that the successor will have the newer Android Marshmallow for its operating system right off the bat.
