NCAA March Madness – Coming to Apple TV

College basketball fans who own Apple TVs can rejoice – you will be able to enjoy every bit of the excitement from your Apple TVs as you watch the NCAA March Madness on it. Beginning March 15th, fans will not just be able to just watch one game at a time, but two. This is done with the aid of a new split-screen feature which available exclusively through Apple’s device.

Although the split screen feature is only available for the Apple TV, the NCAA March Madness live stream app will be available for a dozen platforms for this year. These include the Amazon Fire TV and Roku players. However, since the program is in partnership with Turner Sports and CBS Sports, you would have to go through the registration process prior to getting the service. This is to prove that you are already a paying TV subscriber before you are able to use the app.

In a recent demonstration by Turner Sports in Los Angeles, they have showed off the design of the Apple TV app. This lets fans of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship to see at a glance how they would be able to enjoy the app. There are also video previews and game recaps that can be enjoyed within said app.

The aforementioned split-screen feature lets users watch two games simultaneously. You can also toggle between the two to listen to the commentary. This is better than hearing the sound from both feeds as one would most obviously overlap with each other. The app also supports AirPlay, so users are able to stream their videos or audio to compatible speakers. Another great feature is that it will deliver alerts and updates to the Apple Watch.

Another Apple TV apps that was recently showcased from the Washington Post. This particular app offers video coverage for world news, style, business, and politics. This app will launch before the NCAA one which will be just in time for the Democratic presidential candidates debate.

Even though Apple has not yet found an app for their Apple TV that would bring it above its competitors, it has nearly 4,000 apps that are available for download; however, the NCAA March Madness app might just be the ticket to bring it above its rivals. With this download, fans won’t be able to miss a single beat of their favorite sport.
