Meet the Ergonomic Moto X Style

Published: 26 October 2015

Among the three smartphones Motorola had recently launched, the Moto X Style has the best to offer when it comes to its hardware capabilities. It can be called the “true flagship successor” after last year’s Moto X. The company positions the handset as a strong contender in the high-end market for mobile devices.

Meet the Ergonomic Moto X Style

The Moto X Style is Large But Doesn’t Feel Like It

Looking at the Moto X Style, it sports a 5.7-inch display with a 1440p screen resolution. It has a similar size to that of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 but users will be delighted that it doesn’t feel “big” when being held due to its ergonomic design.  Inside the device we can see that the Motorola X Style has a Snapdragon 810 with 3GB of RAM. It also has an above average 3,000mAh battery. As for the device’s features, the same functionalities return from previous iterations of the model. These includes the Moto Display feature, as well as the always-on voice commands.  For the camera, the X Style has been put a lot of effort by the teams behind its development. It now features a 21-megapixel imaging sensor for the rear snapper. The rear camera also comes with an f/2.0 lens and an impressive 4K resolution video recording feature. Therefore, this smartphone promises to be a better shooter than the Moto X of 2014.

Many wonder if increasing the size of the Moto X was an odd choice, considering many people prefer handsets that are within the 4.7 to 5.2-inch mark. However, the X Play has a lot to offer and is a powerful contender in today’s smartphone market, which makes the increase in size all the more reasonable.  From a visual perspective, the Style is a decent smartphone. It has a plain yet smooth Gorilla Glass 3 panel at the front and this is used to protect the display considerably. The edges of the phone are constructed in metal, which makes for a premium and durable touch. The back panel will be available in a variety of materials.  There is a micro-USB 2.0 port at the bottom of the device. At the top is a 3.5-millimeter audio jack along with a removable tray where which will hold both the nano-SIM card and the microSD card for expanding the storage. Even for people who have smaller hands, the Moto X Style won’t give too much problems because of its ergonomic design. Couple that with its impressive array of features and hardware specs and you got yourself a premium smartphone.
