Disney has just recently pulled the plug on their Infinity game division and many fans of the franchise are already distraught of the news; and perhaps in light of what the company did, they have just release new downloadable content (DLC) packs for LEGO Dimensions. With these new packs, LEGO fans, especially those who are gamers, will have a lot to look forward to. Specifically speaking, two of the new packs are coming to two titles: one is the aforementioned Dimensions and the other is LEGO Marvel’s Avengers.
LEGO Dimensions Brings in 3 New Packs and LEGO Marvel’s Avengers Gets Doctor Strange
For LEGO Dimensions, Publisher Warner Bros had recently announced that the packs will be based on three different franchises, them being Ghostbusters, DC Comics, and the toy line’s own LEGO Ninjago. Stated in a press release, Warner Bros announced the different ways in which players will be able to extend their experiences throughout the different worlds in the game. For instance, for the “Ghostbusters” Slimer Fun Packs, players are able to construct that lovable(?) yet annoying green ghost Slimer who can then activate a bunch of abilities in assisting gamers in solving puzzles as well as defeating enemies.
The DC Comics-based DLC Pack for LEGO Dimensions is a buildable Bane Fun Pack. It uses the LEGO Toy Pad in order to create the famous villain that broke Batman’s back (spoiler alert, by the way). Still on the use of the Toy Pad, players are able to have access to Bane’s Super Stealth, Big Transform, and Hazard abilities. Furthermore, the DC-Comics villain has a 3-in-1 Drill Driver in order to boost gameplay as well as the Bane Dig ‘n Drill and the Bane Drill ‘n Blast for upgraded in-game abilities.
The last DLC pack for Dimensions is the LEGO Ninjago Fun Pack in which it will showcase a buildable Lloyd minifigure, a rebuildable 3-in-1 Golden Dragon, and two Golden Katanas.
Dimensions is not the only one that will get DLC packs as LEGO Marvel’s Avengers gets some as well. This time, it’s for the upcoming movie, Doctor Strange. According to Screenrant, the DLC packs will be called “The All-New All-Different Doctor Strange” and it will come out for the pack as part of the five-DLC pack for the franchise.
The LEGO Marvel’s Avengers DLC Packs, as well as those that will arrive for LEGO Dimensions, hopes to bring gamers back into the Disney gaming realm after the Infinity franchise has just been shut down.
