Apple just recently unveiled their new iPhone 6S to the world at their recent event over at San Francisco. One of the main questions being asked is how does it fare with Samsung’s Galaxy S6?
How Does the iPhone 6S Compare to the Samsung Galaxy S6
How far apart is the new Apple iPhone 6S to the Samsung Galaxy S6?
First, we take a look at the size of both smartphones. The new Apple iPhone is 138mm in height, 67mm in width, and has a 7.1mm thickness, whereas the S6 has 143mm in height, 71mm in width, and has 6.8mm thickness. The new iPhone is slightly thicker to the S6 but is also smaller in terms of height and width. It could mean that this new smartphone from Apple could fit better into one’s hand as compared to the Samsung’s S6.
When looking at the weight, the new iPhone comes in at 143 grams whereas the Galaxy S6 is at 138 grams. So even though Apple’s new contender is a bit smaller than Samsung’s, it is also a bit heavier.
The 6S has an premium aluminum back covering as compared with a premium Gorilla Glass 4 of the Galaxy S6. In terms of toughness, there aren’t much difference between the two materials. Both are durable and can withstand a certain amount of damage.
When it comes to color, Apple decided to create more options for their customers as this time around, iPhone fans get to select silver, gold, rose gold, and gray for their new smartphone. The Galaxy S6 can be bought in either black, white, gold, and blue. If customers put the color of the mobile phone a priority when making their purchase, it boils down to a matter of preference (or perhaps their favorite color).
As for the screen size, Apple still hasn’t improved in that department as their new mobile phone still has a 4.7 inch screen as compared to the Galaxy S6’s 5.1 inch screen. Therefore, many would deem that the S6 is the winner here as it gets people more real estate.
While still on the subject of the screen, the 6S gives a display resolution of 1334 x 750 at 326 ppi while the S6 has a 2560 x 1440 resolution at 577 ppi. Therefore, it is still clear who is the winner here in the battle of the screens and screen resolution.
So does this mean that Apple’s iPhone 6S loses to the Galaxy S6? Perhaps, when one looks at the specs. However, Apple just recently unveiled their new smartphone so we can’t really compare for now as to who is the winner here in terms of sales.
