Hisense LTDN50K321UWT Review - Makes a Lasting Impression

The Hisense LTDN50K321UWT Presents 4K Resolution Under a Reasonable Price Point

It may because of its low price tag that build quality for the Hisense LTDN50K321UWT feels a bit on the plasticky side. Furthermore, the design is also on the cheap end. Hence, when you look at it online or when you pass by it on a store shelf, you would immediately assume that it is one cheap TV even if you don’t look at its price. Nonetheless, it does boast a slim figure with a gray frame, which is on-point with the current trends.

Despite its overall cheap appearance, there is a glossy finish found at the bottom that adds a bit of luxury to the mix. However, the premium look ends once you take a gander at its feet. While they’re not exceptionally ugly, but they can easily catch your attention.

Another giveaway for its affordability is its number of connections. There are four HDMI ports, but only two will play 4K UHD at 50/60 frames per second. Unsurprisingly for the LTDN50K321UWT, none of the HDMI ports offer high dynamic range (HDR) playback. There are also three USB ports, and the TV does support DLNA multimedia streaming over the home network.

When talking about picture quality, most TVs under a similar price class will have flaws that do become apparent, but this is not the case with this particular Hisense offering. Contrast performance is admirable, and it displays far less low-contrast grayness over black/dark areas. In other words, performance on blacks for all levels do a very convincing job.

Another strong point is for the TV’s dynamic contrast system. While it does cause some jumps in the brightness settings from time to time, but these occurrences are quite uncommon, if not very rare. But if there is one caveat with regards to its image quality that is noticeable, it is the details on the shadows. While black level performance is great, there are times when details are lost especially when showing darker scenes.

Overall, the Hisense LTDN50K321UWT is an excellent 4K UHD TV for its price. While its design does not shy away from its affordable price tag, its performance definitely makes up for that.
