Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster has been considered one of Square Enix’s best creations to date, and that’s not only speaking for the remastered version but for the original titles as well. The role-playing game (RPG) will also come with additional options for the PC version.

Final Fantasy X was first released for the PlayStation 2 back on December 17, 2001. It was the first game within the Final Fantasy franchise to have ever featured voice acting for just about every character, even non-player characters (NPCs) as well. Its combat system revolves around the turn-based kind but in fully pre-rendered three-dimensional areas. It also brought about a new leveling system called the Sphere Grid, which allowed players a new way to work their way up in boosting the characters’ stats and abilities unlike other RPGs wherein you would just normally have to grind and increase their level.

It follows the story of a blitzball player that goes by the name of Tidus. Once you start the game, he will be in his hometown of Zanarkand before it gets destroyed by a massive rampaging monster known as Sin. Somehow, Tidus survives but is transported into the distant future to which he meets Yuna, Wakka, Lulu, Rikku, and Kimahri. He is also accompanied by his guardian that goes by the name of Auron who holds a deep secret as to why he joins the party in defeating Sin.

As for Final Fantasy X-2, it was first released back on November 18, 2003 for the PlayStation 2. It was the direct sequel to Final Fantasy X and continues on the story after the events of X. This time around, players will take control of Yuna, and she is accompanied with Rikku and a new character, Paine. The three, along with a team of merry individuals, are sphere hunters. Yuna then sets off to learn more about Spira’s past, and more specifically about a certain someone from her past.

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster brings in better graphics and a bunch of other improvements. It was first released for the PlayStation 3 and for the PlayStation Vita back on March 18, 2014. The PlayStation 4 version of the game was launched on May 12, 2015.
