The Dynaudio Xeo 2 are a pair of bijou, top-end Bluetooth speakers from one of the world’s leading loudspeaker manufacturers. Even if you might not have heard about Dynaudio, there will be a very good chance that you have heard about a pair of speakers that utilize drivers with the company’s brand on them. So if you’re in the market for wireless speakers that offer a more premium experience than others, and with the sonic subtlety than many of its rivals, then look no further. That is, if you don’t mind spending quite a bit for the pair.
If You’re on the Market for Premium Wireless Speakers, Then Look no Further Than the Dynaudio Xeo 2
At first glance, the boxes containing the Dynaudio Xeo 2 are smaller than what you might initially expect. If you’re wondering how tall they are, well then they’re just 255-millimeters in height. They also have a surprisingly small footprint which makes them perfect to be placed on a desk or on a shelf. Even despite with its small dimensions, they are surprisingly heavy as each of the speakers weigh 4-kilograms. That’s quite the impressive amount of density in such a small package.
Its design is also minimal even when looking from all angles. It has simple touch-based controls on each speaker and these are for turning the speakers on or off, and for controlling the volume levels. There are cloth for the speaker grilles which do cover most of the entire fascia which are held together by use of magnets. It also keeps that aluminum front baffle in looking quite neat.
Beneath each of the grilles you will find a 14-centimeter woofer along with a 27-millimeter silk soft-dome tweeter. At first glance, you might think that there is no bass port at all. But with a little investigation, you will find that it is quite cleverly concealed around its rear. It is a downward-facing kind and it is hidden right above the connection panel.
Sound performance for the Xeo 2 is what you would expect for the price that you’re going to pay for it. Simply put, they sound fast and sweet. However, just like with any other small speakers in the market, you can’t expect a lot in terms of the bass department. Furthermore, the sound muddles if you try to crack up the volume too high. These are not for your party as they are just for more casual listening purposes.
Overall, the Dynaudio Xeo 2 presents itself as one of the best desktop or bookshelf speakers that you can purchase. But its excellent sound performance and top-of-the-line minimalistic design comes with a high price tag.
