Cambridge Audio Air 200 V2 Review - Boasting an Updated Design to Deliver More Rhythmic Sound

Cambridge Audio Air 200 V2 Boasts a Solid Built Quality and Powerful Room-Filling Sound

The Cambridge Audio Air 200 V2 is available in black, white, and a premium matte finish. Its looks are stunning no matter what color you plan on getting. It stands at 220-millimeters high by 174-millimeters deep. Hence, it is relatively large and less discreet than many other wireless speakers. However, the elegant curved enclosure and classy gray clothe grille are able to hide its heft quite well.

Speaking of its grille, it covers the entire front panel. It is also surrounded by a luxurious looking silver trim. The high-quality matte finish found at the back of the device will show off a sense of magnificence. The entire device rests on a thick rubber pad found on its bottom.

There are no display panels on the Air 200 V2 and it only has a single LED behind the cloth. This LED will glow different colors to indicate the selected input. At the device’s top, you will find two rows of buttons. At the left row, it includes five numbered Internet radio preset keys, while there are also five other presets which can be accessed using the remote. At the right row, it houses the volume, power, and input selection buttons. These buttons are made of solid rubber and provide a nice click when firmly pressed.

The company was not kidding when this speaker is able to produce room-filling sound. The reach and scale of the BMR drivers in the device are enormous. This floods the listening area with music. There are no fancy processing tech nor does it have any omni-directional features. Simply put, it’s just powerful.

This kind of power results in plenty of punchy sounds from tracks. It tackles on up-tempo rhythms with an admirable enthusiastic approach. Such testosterone for a speaker can only be the result of the sterling efforts of its subwoofer.

The Cambridge Audio Air 200 V2 is a stylish, chunky, but luxurious looking wireless speaker that brings in the muscle when it comes to audio performance. Even though it doesn’t have any omni-directional tech, it can still deliver room-filling audio.
