Beijing – On May 28 Lenovo will hold an event which is called Tech World in this particular event the company is expected to give a flash and glimpse to what is the immediate future of computing technology and how will it develop in the span of five years. Apart from sharing to the world the company’s vision in the coming event, Lenovo shares in advance that it will launch affordable laptops with three models which also includes a 14-inch Ideapad 100.
The launch of these products is uphold and strengthen the company’s lead in the global PC market. Lenovo only revealed few information about its upcoming products though. On the other hand, the products are consist of an entry level Ideapad 100, a 14-inch Z41 and the bigger Z51 which features a 3D camera.
The Entry Level Ideapad 100
The Ideapad 100 will be offered in two variants sizes either a 14-inch or 15-inch screen size with a 1,366 x 768 pixel resolution. The device will house “up to” the Intel BayTrail-M N3540 according to Lenovo. The device is also packed of up to 128GB of SSD or 500GB of HDD and up to 8GB of RAM. In terms of battery performance the company claimed that Ideapad 100 will get around four hours of battery life on a single charge says Lenovo.
The device will come with up to 128GB of SSD or 500GB of HDD and up to 8GB of RAM. Expect to find a USB 3.0 port and a USB 2.0 port, along with HDMI-out and a card reader. This new 14-inch device weighs 4.19 pounds (1.9 kg) and the thickness measures at 0.8-inches (20.2 mm) (1.9 kg) while the 15-inch is quiet heavy at 5.07 pounds (2.3 kg) which thickness is measure d at 0.89-inches (22.6mm). And the cost of this particular products will start at $249.
The Lenovo Z41 and Z51
These two models are pack in Full HD 1080p display and come with a wide range of configuration options.
At affordable cost which starts at $499 you will get a Core i7 processor, 1TB of SSHD or HDD storage, 16GB of RAM and either the AMD R7-M360 GPU for the Z41 or the AMD R9-M375 for the Z51.
While the Z41 weighs 4.63 pounds (2.1kg) and measures 13.66 x 9.8 x 0.96 inches (347 x 249 x 24.4 mm) the Z51 on the other hand weighs .07 pounds (2.3kg) and 15.12 x 10.43 x 0.97 inches (384 x 265 x 24.6 mm).
Intel RealSense 3D camera which can be used for 3D scans, gaming or even for gesture control will be feature in the Z51 model.
Not to forget, these particular products are not yet available to date but eventually it will be available probably by June.
