The BenQ BL2420Z is Meant to be in the Office

Aside from the industrial design of the BenQ BL2420Z, what can really turn heads for this particular monitor is its low price. It offers a range of versatile options and features that is placed at a reasonable price point. It might just be the perfect companion for your office computer.

The BenQ BL2420Z Monitor has a matter black finish and its overall style is underwhelming than most. However, it doesn’t mean that its bland looks are made to become deal-breakers as it is not meant to be as flashy as the likes of gaming displays. This monitor is made with functionality in mind, rather than for vanity.

It comes with a circular stand that assists in rotating the screen from left to right. It also has a 150-millimeter height adjustment. The display can tilt back and forward, and the screen can move from landscape orientation to portrait mode. As an added bonus, it also supports 100-millimeter VESA mounts. The rear of the stand also has a hole which can act as a cable storage.

It also comes with a pair of 1W speakers, but this is probably the worst feature that it can have. In fact, BenQ should’ve just removed it as it can live without the speakers. Doing so might even lower the overall price for it even more. Why such a negative perspective on its sound? Because audio is muddy and muffled. There is no nuance and it offers a deep sound that almost completely deals away with any high-end noise.

In the matter of image quality, the BenQ BL2420Z does offer more punch about its weight. It has a brightness level that is not as impressive as its competitors, but it is still ample for office use. What it does is great black levels which does beat its closest competitors. Overall, pictures deliver the right level of contrast and punchiness in them.
