LG – the Korean Mobile Manufacturer has finally uncovered its latest headset in a global launch event in New York and London, the G4. Indeed the long wait is over.
Display
The G4 has a 5.5-inch LCD Display that has 2,560×1,440-pixel resolution and 534 pixels per inch (ppi).Aside from having an ultra-sharp dual-HD touchscreen, the G4 display is curved which also comes with IPS Quantum.
Design
There are an array of designs where you can opt to select which appeals to you the most with LG’s latest smatphone flagship, the G4.
- The leather back optional design that is available in three different colors light blue, black and tannish brown vegetable-dyed stitched leather.
- The plastic back optional design that is available in to different looks one with ceramic paint, and another with metallic elements
The G4 has a sophisticated and premium look with its leather back design, it is svelte and in terms of its curve display it perfectly fits in the palm that gives the kind of comfort smartphone users wants. It is wide at 76mm, with a height of 149mm.
The Hardware and G4 Components
This smartphone is powered by a six-core Snapdragon 808 processor from Qualcomm, with 3GB of RAM. The 808 chip has an important role with the G4, aside from it is more optimized the chip also works to improve two departments of the phone both with its imaging and display performance.
On the back of this device lies a 16-megapixel camera primary shooter that has f/1.8 aperture that could aid taking photos in scenes that is low-lighted. Not to mention the 40 percent larger sensor, improved optical image stabilization (OIS) and a laser-guided autofocus. As for the secondary shooter the front-camera has an 8 megapixels.
The battery is removable that has a 3,000 mAh. This phone also handles memory expansion via microSD card slot.
Software
The G4 runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and features LG’s latest user interface, UX 4.0. One new built-in feature, known as LG Bulletin, dedicates an entire home screen page for just your widgets and works similar to HTC’s BlinkFeed.
