There are a lot of major announcements announced by tech companies in the Computex 2015 held in Taipei, announcements includes innovations, on-going projects, products soon to be launch and other interesting news all for technology advancement.
INTEL OFFICIALLY INTRODUCE 5TH GEN PRCESSORS
Another important announcement announce by Intel is the company’s introduction of its 5th generation core graphics processors with improved performance and graphics and not just that the 6th gen processors of Intel will also follow and will appear before the year ends. That is according to Kirk Skaugen at the Intel Keynote. He said that, “Windows 10 will be utilised to the fullest with the 6th gen core family.”
Earlier this year the 5th gen Broadwell processors were announced, now an upgraded version will include 10 new desktop and mobile parts, that will be an addition to 5 Xeon processors which brings improved speed and graphics offering. Aside from that, Iris Pro level graphics within an LGA form factor for the desktop CPU is also packg along with it for the first time. Unlike the BGA or non-socketed R-series Haswell processors, having the Iris Pro graphics, where the processor came soldered onto the board as announced back at the Game Developers Conference
The Intel Core i7-5775C is a quad-core hyper-threaded part which is clocked at 3.3GHz and houses Intel Iris Pro 6200 Graphics. It will have a TDP of 65 Watts. It gives a 2x improvement over the Intel HD4600 graphics. This processor is aimed at different kinds of desktop form factors including thinner mini PCs, desktop AIOs and so on, according to Intel.
Furthermore, Intel also announced a 47 Watt mobile 5th generation Intel Core series processors. The Intel Core i7 5950HQ is a 4-core 8-thread processor clocked at 2.8GHz and houses the Intel Iris Pro 6200 integrated graphics.
