2016 Chrysler 300S AWD Review – More of the Passion

The 2016 Chrysler 300S AWD is an evolved and refined successor to the 300 model. It adds new features and makes a better than ever vehicle than its predecessor. It is a stylish, rear-wheel-drive retort to similar (but a bit mundane) four-door offerings in the market such as Honda’s Accord or the Toyota Camry. With this 2016 model, it brings more of the passion to the sector than most of its rivals put together.

2016 Chrysler 300S AWD Review - More of the Passion

The 2016 Chrysler 300S AWD is a Very Likable Update

At first glance, the 2016 Chrysler 300S AWD is a bold and brash update, but it does this quite well. There is a touch more luxury and sophistication with the 2016 model than its predecessor. Its grille still dominates the front end as it takes up at least one-third of the 300S’s face. With this type of styling, its either you like it or you hate it.

For those who do like the front-end design of the 2016 300S AWD, you will find it particularly handsome. Its black-mesh grille is dressed with a black trim ring. For the S models, the pieces that are surrounded by the daylight opening are also covered in black. This is something that will give the car a surprising sporty look, even for a large sedan.

Aside from its exteriors to marvel at, Chrysler offers several powetrains for the 2016 300. To start, the standard model has the company’s award-winning Pentastar V-6 engine, but its performance is anything but entry-level.

Thanks to specially-made tweaks, the power output of this bent-six has been slightly enhanced. It gives the 300S 300-horsepower and 264-pound-feet of torque. These numbers help the vehicle breathe more easily. For those who are fans of roaring engines, you won’t find it in this one since the vehicle is too quiet.

For the cabin, there is a wide array of amenities to absolutely enjoy. For instance, drivers of the 2016 300S will be treated with standard bi-halogen headlamps, LED fog lights, and a cap-less fuel filler. There is also an automatic dual-zone climate control with a built-in cabin air filter, a remote start, a pair of USB ports (for in-car mobile gadget charging), and keyless entry.

Overall, the 2016 Chrysler 300S AWD is a large sedan built with a luxurious interior and wonderful performance. It is able to drive well and is also quite fuel efficient. But is it better than the Accord or the Camry? That is a difficult question to answer; however, it can be said that the new Chrysler 300S is a more interesting choice than its competitors.
